About Me

Hello! I’m Lydia, a 21 year old self-taught coloured pencil portrait artist. I specialise in bringing animals/pets to life through drawings and also do some photography on the side.

My art journey started with a gift that was given to a friend of her late horse and from there my business grew and my work was opened up to more and more people. I have been drawing bespoke animal portraits for 5 years now and use top quality materials to create portraits that can be cherished for a lifetime.

Growing up I had pets of my own and have been working with horses for a long time now so it’s very important to me to create lifelong memories for owners to treasure. Being a portrait artist is very rewarding, I’ve always felt a connection with each of my subjects and work hard on capturing their unique characters and expressions.

As for my photography it all started at the beginning of lockdown, where I was very lucky and gifted a professional camera for my birthday. Lockdown allowed me the time to play around and get to know my camera and from this my hobby grew. I now enjoy taking pictures of nature and wildlife and have the resources to create prints of my work at home.
